There are many causes of back and neck pain, some of the most common are poor posture, bending or twisting awkwardly, lifting incorrectly, standing for long periods or inherited spinal deformity. Our physiotherapists use a range of techniques such as manual therapy to mobilise joints and soft tissues and exercise therapy to improve mobility and strengthen the affected area.

As well as treating specific problems, physiotherapists may suggest ways to help improve your general well-being such as exercise programmes, posture and consider external factors. For example, if you are an office worker spending long hours at a desk, your seating position, chair and position of the computer are all important factors.
